Daniel Scott Gets Called to the Bar in Nova Scotia
On October 18th, Dan Scott was called to the bar in Nova Scotia. Having grown up in Truro, Dan obtained an undergraduate degree from Acadia University, before completing his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2000.
Following his graduation from law school, Dan moved to Ottawa where he articled for, and eventually served as an associate with, another Ottawa-based firm. From 2005 up until he joined LaBarge Weinstein in 2011, Dan practiced with a leading Bermuda law firm where he specialized in the international, offshore business sector and obtained substantial experience in international banking, finance, M&A, and securities.
As part of the firm’s Corporate, Commercial, and Securities team, Dan advises on public and private corporate financing and M&A transactions, including private placements of debt and equity securities, large secured debt financings, corporate governance matters, and other ongoing corporate and securities law matters.
