Ottawa-based Versaterm recently acquired by U.S. private equity firm
Ottawa tech enterprise Versaterm has recently been acquired by a California-based private equity firm and will be rebranded as Versaterm Public Safety. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, Sampford Advisors acted as financial adviser to Versaterm.
Founded in 1977 by a group of former RCMP employees, Versaterm is known across North America for their powerful and flexible CAD (computer aided dispatch), RMS (records management systems) and Mobile solutions that enable First Responders to make better decisions.
LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Versaterm with a team that included Paul LaBarge, Shane McLean, Estelle Duez, Michael Morgan, Laura Venasse and Natalie Grant.
