LW Connect Hears Tweed’s Story
On Tuesday, January 28th, Tweed Inc. received a federal license from Health Canada to grow and sell medical marijuana. With the media frenzy that followed, we were exceptionally lucky to have Bruce Linton, Chairman of Tweed, and Chuck Rifici, CEO of Tweed, take the time to tell their story at our LW Connect event yesterday evening.
Tweed, the fifth Canadian firm to be granted a licence by Health Canada, has already started production in their 180,000 square-foot Smiths Falls facility, which was formerly occupied by Hershey. The licence will allow Tweed to produce up to 15,000 kilograms of marijuana annually.
Having closed a financing in December, Tweed is now working towards getting a listing on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Thanks again Bruce and Chuck!
