Another $2.5 Million for TribeHR
Earlier this week, TribeHR, a Waterloo-based human resource software company, announced its most recent round of funding. The additional capital came from Relay Ventures and U.S.-based Matrix Partners, who provided $1M in seed financing back in 2011.
Founded in 2009, TribeHR provides small and medium sized businesses with a socially-driven human resource management solution. The platform is designed to simplify and automate the management of employee data, while making human resources less about the numbers and more about the people. It’s also about giving employees more control over their relationship with their employer.
According to TribeHR co-founder and CEO Joseph Fung, clients are already seeing much higher engagement over standard human resource software programs. Fung believes that the answer to promoting further improvements is through the development of additional social and mobile features. With an additional $2.5M to work with, the organization will focus its efforts in these areas.
