We are building an inventory pool of candidates for any future Legal Administrative Assistant position vacancies. Candidates must have 3 -7 years of experience to be considered for the inventory pool.

The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting lawyers with a variety of administrative and client service tasks. Candidates should have experience providing administrative services to more than one person in a multi-office environment.

Tasks include assisting lawyers in managing unbilled time and disbursements, receivables and trust balances for clients, creating invoices, communication with clients including collection of accounts receivables, preparation and edits of legal documents, entering time dockets, preparation of banking forms for requesting checks or other electronic payment methods and other miscellaneous administrative tasks as requested by lawyers and/or the Director, Finance and Administration. This position will also be assigned general office duties such as filling in at reception and assisting with various office administrative tasks.

This position would be ideal for someone who enjoys working in a rewarding, fast paced environment where there is an opportunity to work as part of a team of administrative staff to develop and improve day to day processes. The candidate must be proactive, team oriented, able to work for multiple lawyers and demonstrate good time management skills. The candidate must also be very comfortable using computer-based applications as well as learning new applications and must have experience using PC Law or other Legal Accounting software.

A Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma or a university degree in a related field is desirable.
