Espial completes acquisition of ARRIS’ Whole Home Solution platform
Espial has completed its previous announced acquisition of ARRIS’s Whole Home Solution (WHS) platform, the company announced today.
The company said that the acquisition gives it an end-to-end, cloud hosted solution that enables service providers to meet increasing customer demand for video services.
The acquisition also includes the WHS software engineering and operations teams based in Kirkland, WA; the WHS Network Operations Center (NOC); and two geo-redundant data centers. Ron Miller will transition from ARRIS to lead the business as General Manager for Espial.
“WHS expands our solution portfolio with a cloud-hosted Video-as-a-Service platform that is complementary to and will leverage Espial’s current solutions for next-generation IP video services,” said a statement from Jaison Dolvane, CEO, Espial. “Espial gains a broad base of new customer relationships and further scales our world-class integration, operations, and software development teams. We look forward to collaborating with ARRIS to enhance the Whole Home Solution, strengthen support, and expand the customer base going forward.”
Terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.
LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Espial with a team that included Randy Taylor and Brigitte LeBlanc-Lapointe.
