Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Launches in Vancouver

Last week, British Columbia’s clean technology sector received a boost with the launch of the Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre, a program designed to help advance B.C.’s growing cleantech industry. Foresight will guide early-stage cleantech innovators to success using proven business models and support from the B.C. provincial government, the BC Innovation Council (BCIC) and the private sector.

According to a press release issued by Foresight, “the cleantech sector is one of the fastest growing industries in the province, and British Columbia is home to one of the largest industry clusters in Canada and North America.”

Foresight provides a structured model to help accelerate clean technology companies in B.C. Among its offerings are low cost office space, mentorship from experienced Executives in Residence (EIRs), expert clinics, industry introductions and the BC Venture Acceleration Program, supported province-wide by BCIC.
