#GLS14 is Up and Running
GrowLab’s Spring 2014 cohort officially kicked off this week with mentorship sessions in San Francisco. For two weeks, the teams will have an opportunity to leverage GrowLab’s strong links with industry leaders throughout the Valley.
After receiving more than 350 applications and interviewing over 70 startups, four companies were selected to participate in this class. The teams are as follows:
• BitLit: Is a platform that allows publishers to distribute free or highly discounted eBooks to readers who own physical editions. Readers use the BitLit app to prove they own a paper copy of a book to get the bundled eBook edition, which can be read on any device.
• ethicalDeal: ethicalDeal is on a mission to make greener choices easier for everyone by offering heavily discounted products, providing information on how to use them, and explaining their benefits.
• PrintToPeer: Is a cloud print solution that allows you to print to your 3D printer from anywhere. With a RESTful API, PrintToPeer also enables developers to add 3D printing to their applications.
• Spark CRM: Is an online platform specifically designed to power the entire process of selling and marketing real estate. It uses technology to help turn leads into buyers, inventory into contracts, and information into usable metrics.
GrowLab has graduated 25 startups from their accelerator to date. Collectively, these companies have raised over $11 million in funding and created over 85 jobs.
