Huada Semiconductor Acquires Solantro Semiconductor
Huada Semiconductor (HDSC), a Chinese leader in industrial semiconductor solutions, today announced the acquisition of Ottawa-based Solantro Semiconductor, Canada’s innovative designer of integrated circuits that enable next generation power processing, energy management and power conversion applications.
Solantro has a highly experienced team of engineers developing advanced integrated circuits in standard silicon as well as next generation compound semiconductor materials. HDSC will increase its investment in the business, benefitting from Ottawa’s reputation as Canada’s leading technology hub to expand its engineering capabilities and grow its North American footprint.
