RPX Corporation Purchases Rockstar Patents

Today,  our clients Rockstar Consortium and its partners, Apple, Microsoft, Ericsson, Blackberry and Sony, announced the entry into an agreement to sell Rockstar’s entire portfolio of patents to a consortium assembled by RPX Corp, comprised of more than 30 companies, including Google and Cisco. This includes over 4,000 patents from the former Nortel portfolio.

Led by Mike Dunleavy, LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Rockstar Consortium and its partners with a team that included Michael Morgan, Brigitte LeBlanc-Lapointe, Michael Sami, Michael Grantmyre, Diana Cooper, and Emma Wilkin.
