Serguei is an associate with the firm’s Technology & Intellectual Property group. He joined LaBarge Weinstein through the firm’s student program, completing his summer student term in
2020 and his articling term in 2022. His practice is focused on technology contracting, privacy, intellectual property and other commercial matters.
During his time in law school, Serguei was a student caseworker in the Community Legal Education and Outreach division at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. Serguei
also completed several placements at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic, where he worked on developing an AI-powered law and policy research platform and conducted
research about the impact of Internet of Things technology on Canadian smart cities.
Outside of the office, Serguei spends his time hiking, cycling and travelling.
